Dairy Surplus Becoming a Win-Win Situation
This week, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said the U.S. will put 200 million pounds of surplus dry milk in storage. The action is an effort to help dairy farmers who are dealing with high feed costs and plummeting milk prices. The milk surplus will go to school lunch programs and low-income families.
