It’s National Ag Week

Don your party hats (er, seed caps) and join us in celebrating National Ag Week. Hosted by The Agriculture Council of America, the event is a nationwide effort to increase awareness about the role of agriculture in everyday life.

A few interesting facts from the Council's Web site:
  • Agriculture is America's #1 export.
  • One-fourth of the world's beef and nearly one-fifth of the world's grain, milk and eggs are produced in the U.S.
  • For every hour, the U.S. exports $6 million worth of agricultural products.
National Ag Week culminates March 20 — National Ag Day — with festivities in Washington, D.C., as well as communities nationwide.
