Three Universities Partner to Study Organic vs. Conventional Dairying

The University of Wisconsin-Madison, Oregon State University and Cornell University have partnered to study how organic and conventional dairying practices affect cow health. The study, which will include 300 dairy farms from Wisconsin, Oregon and New York, was made possible through nearly $1 million in funding from the U .S. Department of Agriculture. At the conclusion of the four-year study , researchers will use the data gathered to make recommendations for keeping cows healthy without sacrificing farm income or milk quality.
