Every year, the week surrounding the first day of spring (March 20 this year) is celebrated as Ag Week. Stakeholders from every aspect of the industry--producers, associations, universities, companies and government agencies--join together to promote agriculture and its impact on our society. Events are being held around the country from the local level to national. Please let us know what you are doing in your area. If you don’t have an event planned, there is a long list of ideas at AgDay.org.

I'm getting started on my organic garden with heirloom seeds, so as to produce even more nutritious veggies (when compared to conventional store-bought varieties), without depending on tons of fuel for transportation and energy-intensive pesticides and herbicides.
