It's Earth Day ... Thank a Farmer!

Earth Day 2010 celebrates the 40th anniversary of this national holiday. With more scrutiny than ever about issues like climate change, today is the opportunity for everyone to show how they are making a better tomorrow.

As one dairy producer shared on Facebook this morning, Earth Day has been a tradition among farmers for hundreds of years. By caring for the land and the animals on it every day, the farming community has helped to sustain the soil and grow food to support the ever-growing population.
So today, get out there and find your special way to make mother earth a better place. And if you get the chance, thank a farmer for honoring Earth Day long before we created the holiday.
